1. deputydog is one word. the url of choice would’ve been deputydog.com but it’s taken.

2. it’s a blog about stuff. mainly interesting architecture, clever design, geographical oddities and so on.

3. the lack of any capital letters throughout the site is deliberate. a quick tip for those wishing to leave shitty comments about the permanent lowercase: it isn’t the grammar you’re trying to crap on, it’s the punctuation.

4. suggestions for future posts are always welcome. send them via the contact page.

5. you can befriend deputydog at the following locations by clicking on the logo and travelling the intertubes to the relevant site…

  6. I have no idea how to do this. I’m a neophyte. But take a look at http://www.sachsreport.com. Similar idea, but very different format. How did he do that? Maybe worth looking into.
    Good luck.

  9. Why not try a Virtual Dedicated Server to host your site on
    https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/virtual.asp?ci=9013&display=virtual

They start at $30.00 a month and surely with all that traffic you can put some non-intrusive Google ads up and generate that back.

  10. Why don’t you consider adding adsense to your site or maybe sell some advertisement on it so you can get some money for your hosting (instead of selling an organ to pay for it)

Get in touch with me for some friendly (free) advice if you want!!!

  17. Just a stupid idea but this arbitrary throught crossed my mind; has there ever been a building big enough that someone has built another, self-contained, building within it? Obviously I’m thinking of something more impressive that a WH Smiths inside say Waterloo station….

I don’t know why anyone would but now that thought is like an itch I need to scratch? What do you reckon?

  25. Not a fan of blogs, but this kept me away from productive(?) work for hours. Thanks. I find it curious that so many people join debates over the net. No-one seems to ecome convinced of anothers’ argument. Many people seem to get worked up. I guess this is how debate happens now. I wonder if it is a useful forum, or whether just a way of passing the time? Anyway, this is my perpetual position…undecided. Not a useful contibution is it? I enjoyed your collections, and will come back another time. Thanks again.

  43. Hello Sean

Since i have so obviously been living in the dark ages and have become so self absorbed to not ask my friends what they do with their spare time; that i had no idea about your site until Karina told me at lunch on Saturday. I am impressed, it looks great. I will endevor to get it taken off the banned website list at work and will henseforth rip off your extensive knowledge of the weird and wonderful to increase my own popularitry buy sending random emails to everyone who doesn’t know about this fountain of information.

Seriously though i love it, i can see many an hour dissapearing before me.

  47. Apparently, the archives don’t go all the way back to the “early days” of the site, unless I’ve missed something. I really wish I could check out that listing of the disturbing videos, like one that was alleged to be able to cause people to have seizures or some such craziness. The description really made it sound scary!
