ironworkers have no fear

ironworkers / construction workers apparently have the 4th most dangerous job in the world and looking at these photos and videos it’s easy to see why. out of every 100,000 construction workers, 48 die due to work-related accidents.

one thing i wouldn’t suggest if you’re in that line of work is lying back on a girder at the top of a half-built skyscraper in order to pose for a photograph. if the insurance company find out they may be reluctant to pay out if you do fall half a kilometre and somehow survive.

the next 2 photos are of mentalists who aren’t even ironworkers, they just fancied risking life and limb for a decent shot.

  1. Watchoo wanna bet there was no THOUGHT of insurance for those guys in the early photos? If they died, the construction company might, or might not, pay the family a bit of money.

  8. iam an ironworker the work is awesome the feeling of being in control of your on destiny is intoxicating. there is nothing like the feeling of being in the air and nothing between you and the ground is a beam with the sun overhead and the breeze hitting your face

  10. ………been doin’ this a lil over a year now, and I’m hooked! it’s the best feeling in the world to be atop a building…….what tops it though, is when you explain what ya to someone in a suit, and the whole time your’re talking they have the “ARE YOU F#$CIN’ SERIOUS?!?!” look on their face……..my guess is you don’t get a rush like that sittin’ in an office all day……..
